About Us

Welcome to Troop 7272 - the first ALL GIRL Scouts BSA troop in Rancho Santa Margarita!

Chartered by Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) Post 6024 of Mission Viejo, Troop 7272 will be officially founded in February of 2019. We currently have 22 scouts registered and ready to begin the adventure of a lifetime.

Although we are a new troop, we are an experienced Unit as our adults come with many years of Scouting experience and training as well, we have enthusiasm and dedication that is second to none. Much of our planning has been completed, and we have events planned for the first 5 months (Feb-June). We look forward to the scouts brainstorming and voting on their own events as soon as we are an official troop.

We follow and believe in the established BSA program as outlined by National, Council, and District. We intend to model our program after Scouts BSA Troop 727. Our goal is to coach youth in responsible citizenship, character development, and self-reliance who are accustomed to providing service to their community and those in need. We believe that the Scouting program will prepare our youth for the future as independent and confident adults.

A couple of sayings we have in our Troop are:

“It takes a village to raise a child.”

“Wise parents prepare their children to get along without them.”

“For God and Country.”

We are committed to move forward with a great program where the Scouts learn life skills while having fun outdoors. I hope that you will join us in reaching our goals and I look forward to meeting you at one of our recruiting events or upcoming Troop Meetings.

Yours In Scouting,

Dea Del Rosario, Scoutmaster
